Triathlon Day, June 2004 |
Jane, her brother Matt, her father Paul, and John Lawler all competed in a triathlon in Long Island this past June. It was a sprint triathlon, the smallest of the three styles of triathlon, but by no means is that a piece of cake. It's a half mile swim, followed by a 12 mile bike leg, and finishing up with a 3.3 mile run. Sounds like fun eh? Here Matthew gives some instructions for Jen on how she can help him during the race. |

The race is about to get started... Take a look at where they had to swim...Even though it was June, the water was chilly, and most of the competitors had wetsuits on.

Jane was out of the water very quickly... Damn that girl sure can swim... John wasn't all that far behind her. |
| Matt was a few minutes behind Jane and John, but as the best biker in the group, he was going to make up some time with his wheels for sure.. |

| Behind a terrific bike leg, Matthew was the first of the group to start the final section, the 3.3 mile run. . |
