Aaron explains what Recess is about

What is Recess?  Well, Recess is the brainchild of the kids over at NerdNYC, a growing community of nerds, gamers, artists and generally cool people who like to get together and play some games... Boardgames, role playing games, video games, you know nerdy stuff...

Where did this NerdNYC crew come from?  Well, in a nutshell, it's the creation of three friends of mine, Aaron, Spence, and Josh, and perhaps they are best equipped to explain what Recess is and what NerdNYC is all about.

Click any of the pictures to check out a video from RecessIV.  RecessV went off without a hitch a couple months ago, but I was out of town so it was the first gathering I'd missed.  Basically they happen every 3-4 months or so... If you're interested, check out the NerdNYC pages and forums for updates on RecessVI... the talk is it'll happen sometime in February 2006. 

Recess is a good time... If you like board games, card games, role-playing games, they basically do it all.  What started as a handful of friends playing some games is quickly growing into a thriving community.  So come check it out.
