Adventures in France |

| Wow. What a trip. This had to be
one of the best adventures of our lives. We have to give some props
to Discover
France because they really put together a nice hike for us. The
first half of our trip was spent in the
french countryside.
We trekked through the wine fields of Burgundy, from village to village. The weather was perfect for a long hike.
The directions were pretty good, we never even got lost. There were plenty of route markers along the way scattered throught the country side like this iron gazebo.
We spent our first couple days in the small town of Beaune, in the heart of wine country. We toured the local sites and rested up for our hike.
The Hospice of Beaune was pretty cool. You don't see architecture like this in the States.

After our hiking adventure in the countryside, it was back to the big city, as Jane and I explored Paris for the first time together.
What a beautiful city. It really is picturesque. From ancient cathedrals, to towering monuments, Paris is a city everyone should see. No wonder it's one of the world's most frequented tourist locations.
During our first day and half in Paris we covered many of the 'greatest hits' as far as attractions go... From the Sacre Cour (seen here), to the Louvre, to the Arc de Triomphe. We were only in town for three and half days, so we followed our hiking tour with a lot of walking around Paris.
The Eiffel Tower really is a sight to behold. We spent a few moments on our last night in France, sitting under the Tower, when they switched on this fantastic light display.
